Since 1992, Daren Thorne has honed his natural ability and love of woodworking to create Huronia Woodworks and now also Thorne Custom Woodworking. Over the years he has worked for others, sub contracting work and has been the middle man on many jobs to help build his business and his craft.
Now his reputation for creating beauty and function in all Huronia Woodworks cabinetry gave him the opportunity to grow his business and nurture long term relationships with his customers. Now with Thorne Custom Woodworking Darren has even more freedom to do what he loves the way he loves doing it.
Daren is extremely pleased with both the quality of each of his hand crafted products and the beauty.

For me, it’s about the quality of the end product and not about the quantity. It’s the look on the client’s face that says the cabinetry is everything they wanted in function and yet they are so astounded by the beauty. It feels like we are creating a quality product every time we custom craft our wood. I am proud to see my name on every piece.
